Cool Creek Farm welcomes you! We are home to horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and indoor/outdoor cats. The 14-acre farm is located just minutes from Shakori Hills Community Arts Center which hosts many live musical events throughout the year. The farm is convenient to Pittsboro, Saxapahaw and Chapel Hill. But, you’ll love the beautiful, peaceful setting right here too! We can accommodate horses for overnight lodging, ask for details!

Reconnect with nature and unwind in the peace and beauty of Cool Creek Farm! Your well-appointed private room and bath is just steps away from acres of rolling farm land and a wide variety of animals (all contained in pastures, except for the free-ranging chickens!). Whether you are here for a single night or several, this will be your restorative homebase for any other activities you choose in the area. The farm is convenient to Pittsboro, Siler City, Chapel Hill, Apex and Saxapahaw/Graham.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. The walk-out basement apartment with ample windows and farm views will be your home away from home. We are also home to horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and cats. A beautiful walnut butcher block island makes the roomy kitchen area even more functional.

The big yellow barn is the hub of farm activity. Come on down and meet the chickens and Byrdie the barn cat.

And if one rainbow isn’t enough for you, sometimes we have two!

Have a bonfire and use the grilling grate, or not. Two full size picnic tables are nearby. Bring your own firewood or ask me about $8 bundles.

The multi-purpose arena is perfect for big games and star-gazing!

Commercial grade swingset is suitable for children six years old and above. Adult supervision is required at all times.

One of the best adult swings ever, give it a try!

Enjoy the bonfire pit and picnic table area. This and the play equipment are shared spaces on the farm.

Full size washing machine and large wooden drying rack exclusively for guest use.

Must be at least 12 years old, comfortable with heights, and less than 225lbs to books this space and climb this 10ft vertical ladder into the loft.

Your dry sleeping area. Bring your own bedding! There is a floor fan in the loft. The barn has electric lights in the aisle, but headlamps are ideal for navigating the barn and surrounding areas after dark.

Bocce, badminton, frisbee, croquet or star-gazing anyone? The large multi-purpose arena is perfect for any BIG activity.

Wash your dishes here. Water spicket is right at the side of the barn.

Barn Loft Glamping

The Basics in the Great Outdoors

This is a funky barn glamp experience for those up for some adventure. All guests must be at least 12 years old, comfortable with heights, able to climb a 10 foot vertical ladder and weigh less than 225lbs. Camp in the dry barn, bring your own bedding but forget the tent! Have use of a composting outhouse, access to water and electricity, bonfire pit, dishwashing station, and covered and outdoor tables. The barn loft has a large tarp on the floor for your bedding and a floor fan.
